Yeah so my guild is getting aquainted with Northrend. We are putting together our first raids into Naxxramas. I’m looking forward to it myself. My charater is called….Thamelas. Ya its where the name of this blog comes from. Its kinda become an alternate name for me. The strangest thing was that is was a random name that I created, and it kind of took on a life of its own. Amazing how an online game can do that to people. For some reason the players personality is reflected in the name. Or maybe its vice versa?
Here’s a link to my armory page, where you can take a look at my character: Thamelas
So if you play post your your name and server. I’d be interested to know who’s stopping by.
The video below is without a doubt one of the coolest games I’ve seen in a long time. I’d love to be able to try this. Finally a game that is really unique. I hope its made available to the general public. It has a lot of potential.
Well patch 2.4 is out now. I gotta say I love the new instant honor. Its a bit nicer not having to wait to spend your honor. The new area is small, but very pretty I think. Its a lot like teh Blood Elf starting area. No surprise there since its a part of their area. Another thing I love is the daily quest limit being increased to 25 from 10. You can earn a ton of gold a day now. I would expect that this was aimed at trying to defeat the gold sellers.
Well I finally got an email back. Turns out the day after I made my last post, I tried to log on and was able to. I guess it was a temp suspension. I still don’t knwo why. I didn’t break any of Blizzard’s rules. Below is the letter that they sent me. It goes a long way to say nothing. To Blizzard’s response I have but one thing to say….WTFever.
Greetings,
Thank you for contacting us regarding the recent action of your account. I understand that your account is important to you, and have conducted another investigation with that fact in mind. All I did was post my profession guide site’s address in trade chat. Blizzard had a fit. They sent me a long email saying I had broke their harrassment policy with advertising. I looked at their policy….It didnt.
Their policy says you can’t post links to non-beneficial or non-WoW related sites. My site is a simple profession guide website. It is no differeant than Thottbot.com or Allakhazam.com. Its IS beneficial and it IS WoW related. I wasn’t even spamming it. I’d post it about every 10 minutes. As a witness my friend Kafra was with me, because I would post it between arena matches. What I did was no different than countless other players posting their web addresses.
Either way I have an indefinite suspension now on a 70 warlock I had been playing for over 2 years. If they trash all that effort by banning me over this, I’ll never play any game Blizzard produces ever again. Anyone considering playing a Blizzard online product should consider that.
The Suspension Letter:
Greetings, Account Name: ********** Realm: Stormrage Character Name: Thamelas

And My Responce:
Dear Sirs,
I do not understand why this account has been suspended. Yes I did occasionally post the address in trade chat. I did this because I have seen countless others do the same thing, and was under the impression that it was acceptable. After reviewing your policy, I can only conclude that it does not violate your policy.
You policy states clearly:
“Harassment Policy Violation - Advertising
This category includes advertisement of:
* Any non-beneficial, non-WoW related businesses, organizations, or websites”
The website I posted IS beneficial to players, and IS a WoW related website. It is neither a gold selling, nor a BOT website. This website contains useful information to players to aid in leveling their characters. Therefore it is allowable under the auspices of your own policy. I ask that you please lift the suspension of my account immediately.
