Barbara Boxer to Brigadier General Michael Walsh: “Call me Senator”

As you can see I refuse to address that thing as “Senator” now. For those of you that haven’t heard Barbara Boxer from California had the nerve to stop a Brigadier General during a hearing and demand that he call her “Senator” instead of saying “ma’am”. Now it is common military courtesy to address people as “sir” or “ma’am” as a sign of respect. So there is nothing disrespectful about it. She simply wanted to attempt to humble a general. She then went on to say “It’s just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title, so I’d appreciate it, yes, thank you.” She worked hard for it? She got elected to an office. How in the hell is that working hard for anything? You put in long hours lying to Californians? Do you mean to imply its harder to get elected to the office of Senator than it is to work your way to the rank of Brigadier General in the United States Army? Give me a break you unappreciative, self absorbed, disrespectful, clueless bitch.
I demand you issue an official apology to General Walsh…IMMEDIATELY! While you’re at it why don’t you tank him for his long career, and how much work it took to get to where he is today.
General Walsh, I personally would like to thank you for your service and every sacrifice you have made in the service of our great nation. Please accept my apology as a private citizen for what you have been subjected to at the hands of the U.S. Senate. I’m ashamed and appalled at the utter lack of respect that was displayed towards you while appearing before our elected officials in Washington D.C.

I would just like to state what a well educated and respectful man my uncle Brigadier General Michael J. Walsh is. He didn’t show any sign of disrespect he just didn’t address her appropriately IN HER EYES. If anything she totally handle the situation in apropriately and SHE should be the one scolded by America.
He did not have to be scolded in front of the entire world. And How hard she worked for her position? PFFFT.
DOES SHE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD MY UNCLE HAS WORKED TO GET HIS POSITION? I thank everyone out there for being so supportive of Brigadier General Michael Walsh. He does not deserve any negative remarks after the years he has served our county. When was the last time the senator toured Iraq? Give the man some slack…he’s a human being and I know the military is tough, but EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES.
Thank you to all those who have supported him.

Ps he also served in Belguim for a few years. When they returned back to the states his son was so advanced they skipped him a grade.
Not only has he served for our country but if anyone were to meet his immediate family they would know how well educated and mannered they are…because of who he is and how they were brought up. Show some respect to him Senator boxer. Brig. General Michael Walsh deserves far more respect than to be disrespected by a Senator, WHO SITS IN AN OFFICE.

Dear Senator Barbara Boxer,
Thank goodness for the Internet so that Americans can view our representatives in action.
I just watched the Internet video of you dressing down Brigadier General Michael Walsh for calling you ‘ma’am.’ You said you worked so hard to get the title of “Senator.”
Well Senator Boxer — Brigadier General Michael Walsh worked very hard to EARN his title, and I am sure he does not consider himself NOBILITY as you sure seem to consider yourself by your words and actions. At least he is serving his country and not “SERVING THE PEOPLE UP!” - as I often state too many of our so-called representatives are doing.
You showed absolute ignorance of how our military is trained and expected to address people in order to show respect. YOU - DISRESPECTED THE BRIGADIER GENERAL! He deserves an apology from you. Military protocol advises officers to use ’sir’ or ‘ma’am’ when addressing anyone higher than them on the chain of command.
It is time that “We the People” become truly informed and clean out our elected representative seats on both sides of the aisle. We may respect the office, but we don’t have to respect the ignorant idiots holding the office. Especially, when they are so out-of-touch as you have shown yourself to be. I hope you at least start trying to put your brain in gear before opening your mouth and letting all of your ignorance pour forth.

My e-mail to the Madam senator:
Senator Barbara Boxer
Ma’am
Perhaps you could explain to the unwashed masses the “hard work” you performed to obtain the title “Senator” other than spending your millions to obtain the votes that you believe bestowed upon you your high and mighty self righteous status.
Your ignorance of military etiquette and understanding that Brig. Gen. Michael Walsh has worked immeasurably harder than you to attain his honorable stature really demonstrated what we Californians already knew about you MA’AM. I believe you have proven what a hypocritical fool you are to other Americans who may not have already known it. You just couldn’t control the hubris that when given time always seeps from every pore of your kind’s thorny, scaly hide. Thanks to the media, that you and your party try your best to stifle, you have again shown the American people what a jenny you really are.

How about this as a come-back?:
Ma’am Chairman. My military training has instilled in me a code of conduct and decorum that requires that others be treated with respect. The terms “Sir” and “Ma’am” have historically been used as terms of respect and deference to those in senior authority. It was with this intention that I addressed you in that manner: to accord you the courtesy and respect you indeed have earned by ascending to this lofty office. I only wish that you had the good manners to reciprocate this common courtesy to a Brigadier General in the United States Army.

Sent to Sen. Boxer:

Senator Barbara Boxer

Dear Senator Boxer,
I’ve just witnessed your admonition to Brigadier General Michael Walsh regarding the “ma’am” incident. I must admit that I tuned in late and missed the part where the general approaches your throne and kisses your ring. Do you really think we send you there to act like some demanding diva? How embarrassing.
My father, a Major General, and dedicated professional Corps of Engineers officer, who often testified on the hill on Corps matters and who later became an advisor for legislation for Senator John Stennis, (D-Miss), just rolled over in his grave. Through the fifty three years of his federal service and personal life, he operated under a basic principle learned at West Point: You may demand respect and get it, but you only really have it when you earn it. You, madam, failed miserably, and to me, that was painfully clear when all of America saw the look on Gen. Walsh’s face.
From my point of view, it was you who needed to show some respect. That general officer that sat before you most assuredly has twice your education, thirty years of experience in his field and has probably endured at least two combat postings, long family separations and financial strains, all in the interest of one thing: His country. And you wanted to be called Senator. Well, ma’am, as my mother would say, sister, you’re way too big for your britches.

Like the majority of elected officials in this country the senator thinks herself to be far more important then then she truly is. There is only one solution to this problem and that is TERM LIMITS!

Am not an American but this is so disgusting. No wonder terrorist are not even concern on who their enemies are if they have “friendly” allies like Barbara Boxer to make a mockery of the US military.
May I suggest to General Michael Walsh and to all high ranking military officers or even a private that the next time that he get invited to a Senate hearing, next time that things like this happen. Stop the hearing, stand up and tell these couch potatoes that you have more important things to do than arguing with how these waste spending idiots are concern about how they should be addressed.
Remind them that you are the ones in the battlefield protecting them who are just sitting on their bums and using taxpayers’ money for you know what.
They should be glad they are called Sir or Ma’am or Madam, that is what kids are told to show their respect. Let them try their tantrums in a Chinese or North Korean or Russian court and try to guess what kind of response they are going to get. Ooops, these countries never question their military.

When we die, JESUS, WHO IS GOD, is not going to judge us by the TITLE we have but how we served HIM by putting good deeds into practice and LOVE IS PROVEN BY GOOD DEEDS! You should start now (since you are still breathing, it’s never too late) by apologizing to Brigadier General Michael J. Walsh! When you hurt him you hurt millions of us.
Since I pray a Rosary for the world each day, you and your family are part of those prayers.
